Investment Process
STOCK PRESENTATIONS
Club members regularly present analysis of stocks and index funds at club meetings.
MARKET ANALYSIS COMMITTEE
On a quarterly basis (or sooner if market conditions dictate) the Market Analysis Committee will make a presentation to the club on (1) the macroeconomic outlook and (2) stock market valuation. Based on these two factors, the committee will make recommendations on the percent of the portfolio allocated to cash. The CWU IG will then vote on the recommendation.
REBALANCE COMMITTEE
On a quarterly basis (or sooner if market conditions dictate) the Rebalance Committee will evaluate the current portfolio investments to determine the need for any changes in allocation across assets held and present their recommendations to the club. The CWU IG will then vote on the recommendation. The Rebalance Committee will maintain all past stock pitches approved for investment in the portfolio.
Recommendations made:
Percent each individual stock
Percent per stock fund
Percent per bond fund
JANUARY CWU FINANCE And AUDIT COMMITTEE
Club members will summarize the reasons for their current portfolio allocations to the Investment and Finance Committee for the CWU Foundation in late January.
SUMMER
Portfolio assets will be held over the summer and reviewed in the fall. If market conditions dictate, an emergency meeting of incoming board members may be called during the summer to review the portfolio.
